We have extended the outdoor seating area and putting on a new roof to try and provide that perfect balance between lots of natural light and shade for those hot summer days! Because we are opening earlier we have added a stone fire place which has always been a dream of ours.
We have planted more Boysenberries, Blackberries Raspberries and Ranui berries as demand for these berries fresh and frozen is increasing all the time.
We are opening earlier this year on September 29th and plan to close later at the end of February. Why? Well opening earlier during the school holidays makes sense as there are lots of families looking for things to do and with the mini golf, café, animal farm, basketball court and the warmer weather (hopefully!!) Julians Berry Farm and Café seems like a good match.
Opening later is an interesting one as we have always felt demand for our place falls away once school goes back and the strawberries and sweetcorn have all finished. We have decided to give it a try this year as we have staff who are looking for more work at this time and if we keep them employed for longer we will all be happier.
